ABOUT US

The TurksThe taste of Turkey arrived in Portland on the corner of SE 48th & Division at the 7 Hills Turkish Grill food cart on February 5th, 2011. Partners Oguz Yilmaz (pronounced "o's") and Asil Karaket, both hailing from Turkey, have always wanted to bring the authentic taste of Turkey to Portland and are always excited to share the flavors and stories of the food.What's in a Name?7 Hills Turkish Grill was named for the seven hills of Istanbul. The seven hills first appeared when the valleys of the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus were opened up during the Secondary and Tertiary periods in the Ottoman, as in the earlier Byzantine period.
